Throughout my business career I’ve applied the success principles I’m sharing with you in my business and personal life and taught the principles to everyone in my marketing organization. What frustrated me was that some people used them immediately to create success, while others seemed to have not heard anything at all. I was determined to find out why and began to study people and what motivated them to think and act the way they did. I soon realized that the level of programming people had when they were very young created a series of beliefs, and these beliefs either empowered or limited them.
As we look at the two phases of our mind it’s important to understand how information passes from one facet to the other and is recorded as “truth”. Between the conscious and the subconscious, there is something called the “critical factor.” The critical factor is the “gatekeeper” between the conscious and the subconscious mind.
The formation of our beliefs lies in the fact that this part of your mind accepts certain information and excludes others. This is one of the keys to understanding how your mind got programmed in the first place. [Read more…]
Do you ever wonder why it seems so hard to get yourself to do the things you need to do to succeed? Or why it’s so hard to change a bad habit? It almost seems like there’s another one of “me” that wants to do things their way instead of doing what I want to do, right?
Today you hear a lot of talk about raising your consciousness in order to be more successful or peaceful or happy or joyful, but what does that really mean? What is consciousness anyway? It actually means to be aware of something, to understand it and to know it.
When I first started learning about Universal Law I was unconscious. I had a victim mentality and didn’t realize I was attracting unwanted experiences. As you’ll remember from a previous article what most people don’t understand is that every thing is really two things. It is the thing you desire and the absence or lack of it. In life you get what you think about and believe is yours consistently, not what you want (which implies lack of it). I was misusing the Law of Cause and Effect and suffering the consequences.
In late 1982 one of my mentors said he felt I was ready to read a very important book. It was Napoleon Hill’s classic, Think and Grow Rich. The first sentence in the book states, “Truly thoughts are things and powerful things at that when mixed with purpose, persistence and a burning desire for their translation into riches or other material objects.”
I remember when I first read that sentence; I was shocked and confused. I thought, “How could something I can’t see or touch be a thing?” I did not realize that energy, although invisible, was a physical thing, or that thought was energy injected with information that would solidify into material objects and conditions as we lived in and acted on the thought. As I continued to read the book, I began to apply its principles, even though I didn’t understand them all and seeming miracles started happening. I started realizing that thoughts were things and they eventually produce their physical equivalent. [Read more…]
What if you could completely control your future and get everything you want in life? What if it was as simple as following a formula? You may think this sounds crazy but I know it’s true because I’ve lived it myself and seen it proven in the lives of thousands of successful people.
When I say it is “as simple as following a recipe or formula” I really mean it, only with this condition. The successful scientist or chemist’s formulas are fine-tuned until they produce a definite, quantifiable result that is consistently duplicable. It’s no different for the successful businessperson who builds multi-million dollar businesses over and over again. Success is not hit and miss, it is based on the systematic execution of principles that are as reliable as gravity.
What is the Secret to Success? Have you ever wondered what the real secret to success is?
Thousands of books have been written on success over the years as well as countless biographies of people who have made an impact on this world, which describe their path to success also.
In these books, in our culture, in our families and businesses innumerable qualities, characteristics and strategies have been credited with creating high-level Success in business and in life. A big dream, clear vision, burning desire, persistence, tenacity, determination, singleness of purpose, people skills, massive action, goal setting, being at the right place at the right time and even luck have been named as the Key Secret to Success depending on who is telling the story.
Can you help me with something? I’m spending the weekend with Cecy at the Ultimate Internet Marketing Bootcamp hosted by Alex Mandossian and T .Harv Eker. Why am I here you ask? Well, – I’ve always been very interested in technology and the ability to reach a lot of people with it.. – but I never had the time to truly understand the science behind using it effectively.
