The Power of Imagination to Change Your Life

On April 11, 2013, in Blog, by Carlos

In our last article I spoke about changing limiting beliefs. You identified what the major ones were that were holding you back from having the life you desire and deserve. One of the key elements you need in order to change those beliefs is to decide what you want to change them to.

Active-Imagination-The biggest problem people have in life is that they are unhappy or dissatisfied where they are and want to be someplace else but they haven’t decided where that place is! One Universal Law you must be aware of is that the Universe abhors (hates) a vacuum and will immediately rush in to fill the empty space. An important point to understand is that if the space you just cleared was a negative or limiting belief or assumption then an equally negative one will replace it unless YOU decide what POSITIVE belief or assumption you will replace it with.

So you must get some positive references to uphold your new idea or concept that you desire to turn into an empowering belief…

The big question is… Where do you get these references?  One way is from your own memory banks, from your own past experiences, from other people’s experiences—people you’ve seen succeed, get rich, have great bodies, enjoy perfect health, have great relationships, experience love and joy.

This is why reading inspiring stories, watching videos and listening to audios that describe other people’s success stories, strategies and mindset is so powerful.  You get to borrow them and use them as a model to create your own on purpose.

You can even pull them out of the future by imagining or visualizing yourself having those experiences or references. That’s the purpose of your imagination; to create whatever end result you desire to achieve, just like magic. It’s the most powerful tool you have, it doesn’t cost you anything to use, it’s the thing that can set you free from all limitation and lack and I’m going to teach you how to use it masterfully in my programs!

Our imagination is the most powerful tool we have to create the lives we desire. With it we can imagine what we would like to experience in our material world and feel that we actually have it. When we get into that feeling of actually having it we are in the spirit of the thing! The feeling is the spirit of whatever it is that we want to possess or experience and that is what brings it into reality!

There is a very powerful and yet misunderstood scripture that states “Not by power or by might but by my spirit, says the Lord”… its all about the feeling of already being, doing and having which is the will of God because God’s desire for us is that we continually expand and express ever greater levels of life, love and beauty!

Let me ask you a question.  How did Columbus discover America?  Where did he get his references or sense of certainty that the world was round and not flat?  He had to pull his references out of the future, something no one had seen before in the physical realm.  He saw it in his mind, in his mental theater.

He believed it so strongly that he was willing to risk his life and reputation. He believed it so much that he actually influenced others (including the Queen of Spain) to back his mission!

Now it’s your turn: So now look at your limiting beliefs and determine the new beliefs that will take you where you truly want to be in life. Start using your imagination to see where that will put you in life and actually feel what that would be like. Imagine how your life would be like if you were already the person you want to be, doing and having the things you desire in your life.

What beliefs did you create in your mind that got you where you wanted to be in your imagination? Take these new empowering beliefs and write down all the benefits you and your loved ones will gain by living with these new beliefs now and in the future. Take a few minutes and actually do this exercise right now!

*********************************************************

Understand that the only things holding you back from achieving your greatness and all the riches you desire in life are your limiting beliefs and your resistance. And, your resistance comes from memories, traumatic experiences and suppressed feelings which consciously or unconsciously you have labeled and given negative meaning to. This boils down to a conflict of beliefs, usually regarding your worthiness or deservingness.  The Law of Life truly is the Law of Belief. As you believe it shall be done unto you!

I’m sure that Bill Gates’ parents told him that for a bright boy like him, getting a great education would take him far in life. But, when an opportunity came up to produce the software for the first personal computer, that dream caused him to change his beliefs.

The rest is history.  One of the richest men in the world doesn’t have a college degree.  So what’s your excuse?

That is why a lot of times when people give me excuses saying, well I can’t be, do or have this because of this or that… I say BS.

You might think, that’s kind of rude Carlos, but BS doesn’t just stand for bull poop, it also stands for Belief System.  And a limiting belief system is way nastier and smellier than the biggest pile of bull poop you’ve ever seen in your life.

Please take the time to create the empowering beliefs that will transform your life today. In my next article I’ll teach you a very powerful strategy to change limiting beliefs and convert them to empowering ones immediately so you can attain your desires and dreams in life.

Let’s Talk About Money!

On March 19, 2013, in Blog, by Carlos

It’s been a while since my last blog post. As some of you may know I have been accelerating my knowledge of Internet marketing strategies, studying under Brendon Burchard for the past 9 months. I also did a Spanish Market launch of my Millionaire Mindset Online program (my first one) and did a Facebook Fanpage campaign to achieve over 100,000 “Likes” which kept me very busy throughout the past 6 months.

Unlock Your Mind 28However, I’m very excited to be back here and to keep providing greater value to all of my friends through this medium. I am ready to resume posting on my blog regularly every week once again so keep an eye out for a new article (sometimes even two) every week!

In order to get the most out of this week’s article I highly recommend that you go back and read the last two articles entitled “How to Direct the Power of All Powers” and “How to Know What Beliefs are Blocking Your Success.” It will only take you a few minutes to do so but will enhance your ability to get maximum impact from this week’s article. Enjoy!

Now… Lets talk about money. You have been learning about my Ultimate Success Formula and, although it can be used to obtain a lot more than money, you probably want more money too, right? So, what beliefs do you have about money? Unless you are tremendously wealthy and have more money than you can spend, you have some limiting beliefs about money, or your worthiness to have more of it than you now have.

We covered a few of the many potentially limiting beliefs a person could have in this area in the previous articles, but I want you to really think about it. What did you hear your parents say about money, what was the general feeling in your home while growing up pertaining to money, what did you hear religious leaders, teachers and coaches say about money, what clichés did you hear repeatedly, what did your parents tell you when you asked for things, what did you experience in your past regarding money, wealth or lack?

Do you honestly believe that there’s enough money for everyone? Do you believe that if you have more, somebody else has to have less? Do you believe that there’s a limited amount of money that everyone has to divide? Are you afraid that there won’t be enough left for you after everyone else takes their share? Do you believe that if you have a lot of money, your friends won’t like you or will try to take advantage of you or will only want to hang around with you because of your money?

Do you believe that money corrupts people? Do you think money is good or is it evil? Do you believe you have to take advantage of other people to be rich? Do you think rich people are evil? Do you believe that all rich people are going to hell? Would you feel guilty about having a lot of money? Do you think it’s wrong to be materialistic? Would you feel guilty about having a luxurious home, exotic automobiles, taking luxury vacations, buying designer clothes, buying expensive jewelry and watches? What limiting beliefs do you have buried in your subconscious regarding money, wealth and riches?

Take a few more minutes to brainstorm all of the limiting beliefs, thoughts and ideas you have about money. Don’t hold back. If there was ever a time to let all the negatives hang out, it is now. It will definitely serve you to find them so we can transform them to empower you!

In addition to beliefs that we can actually pinpoint in our lives, many times things happened during childhood before we could even speak or understand. This is what happened in my story about leaving Cuba. I was not intellectually aware of what I believed, yet it was very real in my experience and it affected me for many years. This is energy stored in our bodies, in our subconscious mind, and we may not even be aware of it other than through a feeling of discomfort in certain situations.

When intense things happened, they might have caused extremely strong feeling or emotion that we now label “trauma.” These intense emotions create intelligible sensations that move us in ways that seem unreasonable to the logical, conscious mind. Nevertheless, they are very real in our inner world and their effects can be certainly felt in our outer world.

It is important that when we feel negative feelings or emotions, we acknowledge and release them in order to center our energies and maintain our alignment. They are our signals that there is some fear, belief, trauma, emotional scar or negative program playing in our subconscious mind. If not addressed, these emotions can cause us to self-sabotage and not achieve our desires or goals.

Please take the time to discover many of the things that have been blocking you from having your success and dreams, and in my next article we’ll move on to how to deal with those blocks and remove them so you can attain your desires and dreams in life.

How to Direct the Power of All Powers

On August 23, 2012, in Blog, by Carlos

Our buried emotions, fears, beliefs and programs are just energy infused with information. That’s what a thought is, a representation of an ideal or concept which is essentially energy infused with information.

A thought that you think many times becomes a belief and beliefs are causes.  Beliefs put the Law of Attraction into operation, create our vibration, and therefore they are what create our success or failure, our wealth or lack, our happiness or sorrow.  We need to really dig into this topic, so please pay close attention.

A belief is nothing more than a sense of certainty about what something means. It’s an idea that has so many references behind it that you feel certain it’s true.

The important thing is… It is not necessarily true. It could very easily be an absolute lie.  It could go totally against the truth, but since we have the belief that it is true programmed, our subconscious (our inner power that is working all the time to produce results) will make it true for us in our experience!

Think of a belief as a table. The top of the table is an idea or a thought.  The legs are the references, distinctions and concepts that, through repetition, have given you a sense of certainty regarding the idea or thought.

The table top without the legs would only be a flat piece of wood or glass or whatever material your table is made of. A belief without its legs (which are references and distinctions) is just an idea, which may or may not be true or even relevant in your life.

It is the legs holding up the flat piece of wood that make it a table. The idea or thought without the references would not be a belief, just an idea or thought. So it’s the references and the repetition of those references that create the sense of certainty that makes the idea a belief.

The Law of Life is the Law of Belief. Whatever you believe is true is the reality that you will create for yourself.  Having beliefs that serve us and empower us to attract what we truly desire is the key to having riches in every area of life.

Sometimes our beliefs have absolutely nothing to do with our current reality. I know people who fight and act like children when they get around their siblings at holiday time and they are now in their 40s and 50s! It’s amazing how many of us are limited by traditions, which are just collective beliefs, and we never question them.

What would you have to do to take a belief you currently have that is limiting you and change it?

There are many ways to change beliefs and in this training program I’m going to teach you powerful technologies to do just that. One way to change beliefs is to question the validity of the references that uphold that belief or associate enough pain to the belief that it causes you to question the references. If you remove the validity of the references, you change the belief or remove it altogether.

Let’s start learning these strategies by using a very simple example. One of my old, limiting beliefs, a belief that kept me from a high level of success for a long time until I changed it was: “I don’t deserve success.”

I had that belief because I was in a hurry to grow up and was trying to bite off more than I could chew.  My parents, grandparents and teachers were always telling me to “slow down, you’re still young, you still have a lot to learn and you have to pay the price for success.”

When I acted impulsively or missed the mark, they would say, “Remember, you’re still young and have a long way to go and a big price to pay before you are ready to achieve real success.”  Consequently, I became really sensitive to the fact that I was too inexperienced and not good enough to attempt big things. The message I heard in my subconscious mind was “I don’t deserve success because I haven’t learned everything I need to or paid the price yet”

Later when I started working in sales and would call on people, they’d say, my gosh you’re so young to be a financial planner or insurance expert. Even when it was a compliment, I was so self-conscious that it set off an unconscious trigger to my feelings of being undeserving and the belief I had developed that, “I’m not good enough yet so I don’t deserve success.”  As ridiculous as this may sound to you, this belief affected my level of confidence, self worth and my feeling of worthiness to attain high levels of success.

It wasn’t until I began questioning my beliefs that I realized that I could change this.  And then I went and replaced that belief with a really strong and empowering one… “I am as successful as I decide to be.”

I began to realize that my success was a function of directing my mind towards my goals and maintaining a positive mental attitude, while executing my plan of action in the faith that it is already done.

I changed my references by realizing that my limiting belief had been formed when I was young and wasn’t even valid in the new context where it was affecting me, namely business success. I also realized that if I kept this belief, it would have very negative consequences in my life.  It was keeping me broke!

I linked enough pain to the old belief and enough pleasure to the new one that once I came to this realization/revelation I turned it into an empowering belief. It’s really as simple as that in most cases, unless its something deep-seated from a very early age or something so painful that you’re suppressing it, but I’ll even show you how to dig those up.

The bottom line is that our beliefs can lead us to either create the life of our dreams or destroy our dreams and leave us with a life of misery and dullness.

In my next article we’re going to dig deeper into what is blocking you from having the things you really want and show you how to change your limiting beliefs into empowering ones, so until then…

How to Guarantee Your Success!

On April 26, 2012, in Blog, by Carlos

People are always talking about success. How to be successful in business or have a successful relationship or marriage or succeeding at losing weight or being leaner or having financial success or even successfully managing our feelings and emotions. But have you ever thought about what success actually is?

Let’s start with… How would you define success? People define it many different ways. However, over the past 30 years, I have found this to be a very valuable definition as it relates to business, financial and personal success:

“Success is the progressive realization of worthwhile goals, ideals and objectives.”

I find it ironic that so many people have never taken the time to sit down and truly figure out what they want out of life. Those same people would never build a house without having an architect design it according to their likes and dislikes. They would spend months in the process of making changes until they got it exactly the way they wanted it.  But, ask them to design their own life and they look at you like you’re crazy.

In the past you may have heard about a study done in one of the Ivy League Universities in the 1950s where a survey of the graduating class found that only 10% of the class had goals for the future and only 3% had them written down with a date for their achievement.

When they interviewed the graduates twenty years later, they found that the 3% with written goals were worth more than the other 97% combined!

Over 29 years ago I learned a simple formula that had helped many people achieve great levels of success. This formula was made up of four simple steps:

1. Define your dream

2. Get a vehicle

3. Make a plan of action

4. Take massive action

It took me a while to really apply it correctly of it, but in five years I had mastered the formula and was a millionaire. I had also overcome a lot of limiting beliefs and a poor self-image.  Learning the formula was one thing, but mastering myself and my beliefs was the key ingredient in my success.

That was just the beginning. I took my frustration in learning and mastering the formula to dig deeper into the principles behind it so I could teach it to others. Through my studies and practical application I’ took the foundation and expanded and clarified it using Universal Principles to create a system so powerful, that if followed consistently is infallible and will produce whatever you desire in life!

Let me explain something that will help you to better understand and use this principle-based formula to produce real-world results.

We are all at a certain point in our lives today—let’s call it Point A. Now, most people are not totally satisfied where they are right now and some are downright disgusted. I’m not saying we are not grateful for the good things we have but everyone wants more, right?

So we’re at point A, but where do we want to be—lets just call it Point B.

The $24 million question is, how do we get from Point A, where we are now, to Point B where we’d really like to be?

I call it the Ultimate Success Formula.

In reality, anyone who has ever attained anything great in life has used a version of this formula knowingly or unknowingly because it is the key to accomplishing anything in your life from material success to creating the body you desire to finding your ideal mate.

Over the past thirty years as I’ve worked with people, I’ve tested and refined the four-step formula I originally learned and expanded it into an eight-step prescription for reaching your full potential. In order to become truly successful and achieve all the riches you desire in every area of life you must:

1. Own Your Life. Take 100% responsibility for your life and everything in it. Purposely decide who you’re committed to be in this world and create your own ideal self-concept or Identity.

2. Define Your Desires. Know exactly what it is that you want.  In other words, clearly define your Point B.

3. Establish Your Intentions. Totally commit to achieving your dreams. Convert your desires into intentions.

4. Discover Your Blocks. What has, is or could be stopping you from having what you desire? Discover your negative programs, limiting beliefs, and negative memories.

5. Get Clear and Re-Align. Identify and eliminate all counter intentions by releasing negative energy, memories and feelings and transmuting limiting beliefs.

6. Make a Plan of Action. Figure out what you have to do to get where you want and create a flexible plan of action.

7. Take inspired action. Take inspired action.  If your plan isn’t working, adjust according to results. Plans change, dreams don’t!

8. Be It! Act as though you already are, have and do that which you previously desired.

The two Optional Steps (which to me are not really optional because you’d be foolish not to use them) are:

9. Get a Mentor. Find someone who has already achieved what you would like in your life and model them.

10. Use a System. Follow a pattern that breaks things down into chunks that you can learn and act upon more easily and you will succeed quicker.

In our next video we will actually get into putting the Formula to work to get what you desire in your life and make 2012 your best year ever! Until then…

Who is the Gatekeeper at the Doorway of Your Mind?

On April 15, 2012, in Blog, by Carlos

As we look at the two phases of our mind it’s important to understand how information passes from one facet to the other and is recorded as “truth”. Between the conscious and the subconscious, there is something called the “critical factor.” The critical factor is the “gatekeeper” between the conscious and the subconscious mind.

The formation of our beliefs lies in the fact that this part of your mind accepts certain information and excludes others. This is one of the keys to understanding how your mind got programmed in the first place.

Most of us have a fully developed critical factor at around six years of age, but until that age we do not have a way to filter out the “truthfulness” of the information presented to us. The subconscious has recorded every feeling and sensation from the moment of conception, including everything your mother felt.

In late 1982 one of my mentors said he felt I was ready to read a very important book. It was Napoleon Hill’s classic, Think and Grow Rich. The first sentence in the book states, “Truly thoughts are things and powerful things at that when mixed with purpose, persistence and a burning desire for their translation into riches or other material objects.”

I remember when I first read that sentence; I was shocked and confused. I thought, “How could something I can’t see or touch be a thing?” I did not realize that energy, although invisible, was a physical thing, or that thought was energy injected with information that would solidify into material objects and conditions as we lived in and acted on the thought. As I continued to read the book, I began to apply its principles, even though I didn’t understand them all and seeming miracles started happening. I started realizing that thoughts were things and they eventually produce their physical equivalent.

The Operating Principle of the Universe, the Law that produces all physical things, is the Law of Cause and Effect, which states that every cause produces an effect and every effect has its cause. This means that everything you see is an effect, which was created by, thought (intelligent energy) which you cannot see and is a cause. Everything in the universe happens according to Law. Chance, luck or coincidence are only names we give to the results produced by Universal Laws that we don’t recognize or understand.
