Lately I get a lot of questions about the Law of Attraction and if it really works 100% of the time. Many people think they are applying it in their lives and are getting results that are totally opposite of what they want so they are really frustrated.
So, let’s talk about the Law of Attraction, since it’s been improperly taught, highly misunderstood and therefore a source of frustration for many people. The Law of Attraction is one of the most fundamental laws of physics and is the way material effects are produced. In actuality, it’s the operating law (like the operating system) for the Law of Cause and Effect.
Like Attracts Like—that is the Law of Attraction. Things that are like each other are drawn together. Things that vibrate at the same frequency are attracted to each other.
Every experience, condition and circumstance that you have… is attracted and created by you. It’s easy to accept when you’re producing positive results but that’s not what people want to hear when they’re unhappy with their lives. Since most people are not too happy with their results, and believe circumstances are beyond their control, they become really good at attracting a ton of circumstances that they don’t want.
What you must understand is that every thing is really two things. It is the thing you desire and the absence or lack of it. In life you get what you think about and believe is yours consistently, not what you want (which implies lack of it). Some people believe they are thinking about their intended results, when in reality they are thinking about the fact that they don’t have them. The key is this: Are you thinking joyously and with eager anticipation because you have faith (you know) a particular result is already yours and acting as if it is? Or, are you thinking intensely about wanting it and the fact that you don’t have it yet, so you feel tension and anxiety?
The telling thing is the way you feel when you think about your intentions. You must get to the point where it feels good to think about your desire because you believe it’s already yours and is on its way to you right now! If you feel anxiety, anger, envy, resentment, or any negative energy or emotion, you are attracting the opposite of what you desire.
Everything in the Universe is made up of intelligent energy (consciousness). Your thoughts are energy and every thought you think has its own vibrational frequency.
All energies are attracted to other energies that are vibrating at the same or similar rates of vibration. All beliefs and thoughts vibrate at certain frequencies and those connected to strong feelings and emotions vibrate at even stronger frequencies. Consequently, the people, events, conditions, objects and ideas that vibrate in harmony with these thoughts will be irresistibly drawn towards them.
If you think about something you fear, resist, hate, worry about or don’t want in your life, you will attract the very thing you don’t want. If you think about your past failures, shortcomings, traumas or negative events and bring those negative feelings and emotions into the present by thinking about them continually, you will attract more of the same type of thoughts, feelings, emotions, people, events and circumstances and perpetuate the same type of results.
The key to attracting what you desire is to focus on it continually, maintaining your mind in a positive state of expectancy in full faith that you have it. Assume that your desire is already fulfilled, feel that it is done, act as if it’s done and you will realize it. That is the meaning of “Whatsoever you desire when you pray, believe that you have received it and you shall have it!”
